Cystoscopy

We perform cystoscopy using flexible single-use instruments. Due to the flexibility of the instruments, the way through the urethra can be followed gently. Cystoscopy will therefore usually be performed under local anesthesia. All parts of the bladder can be viewed by bending the instrument. The images are transferred from a camera on the tip of the cystoscope to a monitor and stored electronically. The images are integrated into the examination report.
The instruments are available at all times and, as they are brand new, are always free of residue from previous examinations.

Small instruments can be inserted through the working channel to take samples from the bladder or remove foreign bodies, for example.
